Nevis Capital Corporation ( OTC : OCEE) , a Nevada Holding Company, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Macau Live Gaming, S.A. (Costa Rica), is actively considering joining the ranks of other online gaming providers to accept Bitcoin as an alternative payment solution for its clients who desire to place wagers from legal jurisdictions.
In a significant statement, in March, 2014, the Internal Revenue Service in the U.S. announced its position that Bitcoin may be used as payment for goods and services between private parties, and will be treated as property (Reported in March 25, 2014 by Reuters, USA Today). Bitcoin is now accepted by a growing number of multi-national companies, including PayPal, DISH and many others as a payment alternative.
Macau is in active discussions with Bitcoin software system providers to submit interfacing platform payment solutions for use by Macau?s international wagering clients from legal international jurisdictions. The major benefit for Macau?s clients is that their transactions including their winnings may be stored in the client?s own computer and in Cloud based storage facilities. The benefits to Macau would be faster payments and irreversible transactions, a problem which challenges many online gaming firms.
