The Np-1 has many steps to manufacturing the fina

1. The Np-1's have already been manufactured (just not with the new kit kat of Google)
2. So the molds for the case, and the basic outlay has been run by Foxconn. To my understanding, it is like upgrading the motherboard on your laptop.
3. Dave has completed the (NP-1, but essentially it was really just a software and hardware update to a newer processor, that can handle speeds better and just functions more seamlessly since it is new.
Basically he had a model that was using a (example from back in the day)Pentium 1, the new Pentium 2 came out, so he is now using that, and before he had to check to make sure that the graphics card and other components were compatible
The big point is that the case was made already (which surprisingly takes a long time to mold, and the other parts have worked with the new Kit Kat upgrade)!
The first working model, is what takes all of the time, skill and effort. Now they just have to put it into production of making a copy of the Np-1! If i am not mistaken they are only replacing a small amount of parts relative to the NP-1 full unit, with Google's help production should be QUICK!
