Voyager Integrates HDVR(R) Into Web-Enabled PACS

PALO ALTO, CA and EAST HAWTHORN, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - Jun 19, 2014) - Fovia Medical, Inc., a world leader in volume rendering technology, and Voyager Imaging, a pioneering Australia-based international provider of Radiology products for more than 20 years, have collaborated to make natively integrated High Definition Volume Rendering® available throughout Voyager PACS Products. With Fovia's CPU-based, software-only HDVR® solution, Voyager Imaging can further expand its fast, flexible and user-friendly web-enabled PACS for medical specialists throughout the world.

Voyager Imaging, the fastest growing Australian RIS/PACS company, designs and manufactures visualization products for hospitals, medical imaging centres and medical imaging groups. Voyager creates intuitive and easy-to-use products by working closely with radiologists and radiographers. The integration of HDVR with Voyager PACS empowers Voyager Imaging to provide advanced visualization to specialist physicians across LANs, WANs and the internet, as well as connect geographically distant centres -- enabling remote access radiology reporting and clinical viewing across low bandwidths.

Fovia's SDK allows Voyager to seamlessly incorporate high speed, high fidelity visualization into its PACS offerings while maintaining its existing workflows and reporting protocols. The cross-platform flexibility of HDVR facilitates cross-site reporting and viewing, thereby empowering radiologists and technicians to more efficiently review cases while maintaining the highest imaging standards.

"Our partnership with Fovia allows us to readily add 3D visualization across all of our products," said Lance Thomas, Voyager Imaging's Business Manager. "We are able to expand our customer base by adding state-of-the-art technology that will help our customers increase efficiency, lower costs and improve patient outcomes. At the same time, we can completely focus our own efforts on product expansion."

Ken Fineman, Chief Executive Officer of Fovia stated, "We are pleased to add such a scalable and fast growing partner. Voyager Imaging, recognized as a leading medical imaging provider in the Australian market, is well-positioned for both domestic and international expansion, and Fovia is excited to provide them with High Definition Volume Rendering as an important part of this expansion."
