new technologies for secure, energy efficient and integrated data systems
Data centers and database systems are the brains of any data-centric organization. DNA Healthlink has formed a strategic alliance with Shiver Global Holdings and Visisys to offer hardware and software solutions to optimize energy efficiency, datacenter performance, and security in complex data environments. With Shiver's proprietary electricity harmonization systems, DNA Healthlink can guarantee a 10% savings in data center energy costs. Visisys' facial recognition software takes security to a new level to ensure both physical and virtual security for your most integral data systems.
v-pass – electrical harmonization system for energy efficiency
Visisys has developed a patented electricity harmonization box combining hardware and software to reduce variable speed drive as well as variable frequency drive harmonics up to 10 times, thereby saving electricity costs and optimizing data center performance.
Harmonic distortion is caused by equipment that are non-linear loads. These loads use current in a pulsing manner and at times feed harmonic currents back into the wiring. In non-linear loads, the current waveform is different from the applied voltage waveform. Visisys' passive harmonic filter, V-Pass reduces neutral currents and transformer loading, protects electrical systems, enhances system protection and increases system capacity. The V-Pass removal of harmonics improves overall system power and saves energy by reducing upstream harmonics losses while operating at > 99 % efficiency.
visisys face
With the explosion of web-based data capture systems for clinical trial data management, data security prevents a major challenge for drug developers. Visisys Face is a software module that integrates facial image capture and recognition as a biometric component of an integrated physical security solution, which may be separated or combined on one scalable network. Currently, clinical databases are protected via user-names and passwords. Visisys Face elevates database security to new levels by matching the end-user's facial image to the name and password, guaranteing that only the specific person with the proper permissions can access, input, analyze, and build reports from the clinical database, complete with an audit trail. With Visisys Face, you can maximize the physical and virtual security of your clinical data systems to ensure the quality of your data.
Dr. Goldstein also currently serves as the Managing Director of Pacific Venture Fund, where he uses his finance and business expertise. Prior to his role at Pacific Venture Fund, he co-founded Solby, a multinational holding company. Through his position as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at Solby, Boris Goldstein joined the boards of several influential financial companies, including Trans Global Ventures, CBSF Group, and E*Trade Eurasia.
Although his current vocation focuses on finance and investment, Dr. Goldstein initially worked in software development. He launched that career while studying at Riga Technical University. While working toward his MBA, he was a member of an innovative software development team that created cutting-edge products that rivaled the best in the industry. He also started Software House High Technology, a software and hardware development company that sold packages to banks, computer manufacturers, treasury departments, and other businesses across 12 countries.
After transitioning from the software to the finance industry, Boris Goldstein continued to patent his inventions. Most recently, he filed several patents in 2010, one of which was a method and system for an integrated intelligent building. Although most of his patents relate to software development, he also patented a method of increasing productivity of oil, gas, and hydrogeological wells in collaboration with four other inventors.
Boris Goldstein earned his Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Arts from Riga Technical University. His B.A. and Ph.D. are in Applied Mathematics. Even before beginning his undergraduate education, Dr. Goldstein studied at an exclusive mathematics school for children.
As part of an international corporate expansion at Solby, Boris Goldstein moved to the Silicon Valley in 1991. Currently, he lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family.

Regulations promulgated by governmental agencies in China relating to the surveillance and safety industry often create opportunities for us. Currently, there are a number of current and planned regulations that the Company believes offer significant growth opportunities. These include the estimated $6 billion to $12 billion that the Chinese government expects to spend for surveillance and safety infrastructure in preparation for the planned investment by Shanghai for the 2010 Worlds Fair. In addition, several ordinances have been passed by the Chinese government which require surveillance and safety systems to be installed in: (1) approximately 660 cities throughout China for street surveillance; (2) all entertainment locations starting from March 1, 2006; (3) all Justice Departments and Courts; and (4) all coal mines in China (currently estimated at 24,000) from the beginning of 2008.
