This year's event will feature nearly 3,500 athletes competing in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, including everything from aquatics to gymnastics to volleyball. Approximately 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 70,000 family, friends and other spectators also take part in the festivities.
The Special Olympics New Jersey Volleyball Teams are made up of 21 players representing 17 communities in the state. As a sponsor, D&Z will lend financial support to the massive undertaking throughout New Jersey.

The nationwide competition takes place every four years and celebrates the Special Olympics movement, which promotes the ideals of acceptance and inclusion through sport by bringing together athletes from throughout the U.S. and displaying the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities.
