OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 11, 2014) - The Board of Directors of Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) today announced that Vicky Sharpe, founding President and CEO, has stepped back from her current role as President & CEO, to assume new duties as a Strategic Advisor to the Board.
In this new position, Dr. Sharpe will advise the Board on how best to position itself to add new agreements from a wide variety of sources. Additional private capital is the crucial element in helping small technology companies advance to the next stage of their development and enter markets successfully.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Pagel as Acting-CEO. She previously served as President and CEO of the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and serves on the Board of Directors of SDTC and the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Science and Technology. Prior to her role with the OCWA, Jane held number of senior public and private sector roles. She will serve in the role of Acting-CEO in the interim as the board conducts an extensive search for the next CEO of SDTC.
The Board also took this opportunity to recognize and thank Dr. Vicky Sharpe for her years of service and dedication in building the organization to what it is today.
