Adjusted earnings were $0.25 a share, down from 26 cents. In July, it expected adjusted earnings of 24 cents to 26 cents. Revenue fell 2.9% to $5.42 billion, below estimates of $5.49 billion from analysts.

Magnum Hunter Resources Corp(NYSE:MHR) shares declined 5.07% to $3.93 in the last trading session after the company said its management discovered an inadvertent error in the calculation of non-cash share-based compensation expense related to common stock options granted to certain employees during the second quarter of 2012. Net loss per common share for the three-month period ended June 30 should have been 12 cents rather than 10 cents.

MGIC Investment Corp.(NYSE:MTG) shares decreased 4.95% to $1.92. The company announced the availability of mortgage insurance through Ellie Mae’s Encompass360 mortgage management software. Through the integration, Encompass360 users can order MGIC rate quotes and mortgage insurance without leaving the platform. The MISMO-based integration automatically returns PDFs for rate quotes and commitments and populates the appropriate mortgage insurance premium fields in Encompass360.

Zalicus Inc(NASDAQ:ZLCS) shares fell 4.84% to $0.590 in yesterday’s session. MLV Capital cut shares of Zalicus from a hold rating to a sell rating in a research report sent to investors on Oct. 10. The firm currently has $0.50 price target on the stock. Additionally, analysts at Rodman & Renshaw downgraded shares of Zalicus from an outperform rating to a market perform rating in a research note to investors on September 11.
