a stock when it knows that such action
will hurt current shareholders?
The SEC suspends trading in a security when it is
of the opinion that the suspension is required in the
public interest and to protect investors. Because a
suspension often causes a dramatic decline in the price
of the security, the SEC suspends trading only when
it believes that the public may be making investment
decisions based on a lack of information, or false or
misleading information. A suspension may prevent
potential investors from being victimized by a fraud"
Is the key here?: "the SEC suspends trading only when
it believes that the public may be making investment
decisions based on a lack of information, or false or
misleading information."
Since MJ is still Federally against the law, can they make a case for busting ANY company doing ANY kind of business with MJ? This way they don't have to break down the doors. They can go after them financially. The companies and their shareholders. I mean, it doesn't matter how you FEEL, or believe, if you have no money left, you are done. No guns blazing, no pictures in the paper, no video on TV, but just as effective........if not more so. And the government "of the people, by the people and for the people" never has to answer for what they did to you. Or if somehow they are forced to, they can just say we were getting misleading information from the company, therefore our actions were reasonable and lawful.
