The 2,000th surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Bruyn, a leading podiatrist in the area. In addition to podiatry, Victory Medical Center Beaumont specializes in complex spine, neurologic, orthopedic, gynecologic, cardiothoracic, and ENT surgical cases as well as general surgery and pain management.

Dr. Bruyn graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine cum laude, and completed his surgical residency at Harris County Podiatric Surgical Program in Houston. Dr. Bruyn's sub-specialty is reconstructive pediatric and adult flatfoot surgery on which he has lectured and published numerous articles.
