Sorry, Old, I didn't mean to sound agitated in my
Post# of 41413
I have spoken with Luis and his accountant in the past. Both of them are great guys. I don't understand the term "award", but rest assured - Luis has contributed well over $4 miilon dollars in capital - that is real dollars - to the company.
He didn't receive those shares "in payment" of services or for payment of anything else.
As a matter of fact, it is Luis who LOANED the money to Baltia to purchase N706BL.......and he has agreed to forego any interest payments on that million dollar loan until after Baltia starts earning revenues.
Oh....he will get paid the interest owed to him.....but just not until Baltia has the money to do so.
On a side note, he secured that note to Baltia against the only real asset that Baltia has at this time - N706BL. In othert words, should Baltia ever have gone belly up and the plane was sold in bankruptcy, the first million dollars worth of the sales price would go back to paying off his loan.
)He is a smart businessman.....not a complete altruistic fool. )
In the past, he too has sometimes been just as aggravated as the rest of us by how long this process has taken.
However.....right now....he is clearly EXTREMELY optomistic.
He is a true man of his word. Seeing him do what he just did.....buy restricted shares at above market....makes me re-think my strategy today.
Clearly the $100,000 buying spree planned for before the announcement that N706BL comes out of the hangar might be better spent and in an easier transaction if I do what he did. $s in the hands of the company right now are more valuable than $s in the hands of the investors.
My take on the sellers of BLTA right now is they are either greedy investors who have obtained multi millions of shares of BLTA at sub penny prices (via PP), or those who are frustrated and scared and completely out of the loop. Either way - I don't think that either of these parties deserves my hard earned $s.
That buying spree just might go as one check to HQ - and buy restricted shares at .01 (since I don't plan on selling in the near future anyway).
Luis's actions......a man of honor......sure makes me rethink my (greedy?) strategy.
......................I'm going to ponder this a little..................
