This plastic car comprised 70% cellulose with 30% resin binder. On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil' had an impact strength 10 times stronger than steel at 2/3 rd's the weight for better economy (Popular Mechanics, 1941) Alcohol prohibition prevented Mr. Ford from powering his fleet with "plant-power"."
