To be honest the GMO genie has already been let out of the bottle and has been out for some time. People have decided to turn a def ear to those that have been trying to tell everyone that will listen about the insanity that is going on regarding all the changes corporation have been making to the food chain all in the name or profit. The GM wheat crop that was found in Oregon last year is a great example, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has never approved a GM wheat strain to be grown yet there it was, 10 years after it was "supposedly" destroyed.
In theory nature should prevail, given enough time, nature will allow unviable strains to die out or undesirable genetic traits to go dormant. However as long as man insists on interfering with the tried and true method of natural evolution under the erroneous belief that man knows better, I fear we are doomed! Seriously, does man kind TRUELY believe, with all his faults, that he can take into account all the intricate nuances that sustain life on this planet?
IMO, GM Cannabis is the least of our concerns. I honestly believe that as long as money is the motivating factor in many if not all major decisions in this world the human race may never reach maturity. Although I do not consider myself bible thumper, in times like these I am reminded of 1 Corinthians 13:11:
Maybe I am just being the fool but it is my hope that people will see as long as "public servants" go to Washington and server the will of corporations just to line their own pockets we are all damned. Time and time again corporations have proven they are only interested in profit over life.
