Santa Baby, GMO'S are producing inferior produc
Post# of 56323
GMO'S are producing inferior products and is only the tip of the Iceberg.
My belief is, we will be at the mercy of these food conglomerates which
I believe serves two purpose. One is the obvious, the bottom line$$$.
Two is complete control of the worlds food source through the monopolization
of their product. How can you win? Heirlooms by definition is defined as
50 years of the original strain. I challenge anyone to fine a true heirloom.
They're out there but they are far and few between. Which is the point
I'm trying to make. CONTROL! There are companies right at this moment
engaging in gene splicing. Example, they can take the gene of an English
Dover Sole specific to preventing the fish from freezing off the frigid
waters of the English Chanel and splice it with a tomato gene and
then grow that tomato in Siberia. CRAZY RIGHT?
Well It's happening. And they use scare tactics the way they did
when we were trying to pass a new GMO label law here in California.
They pumped fear into the consumer by stating if they had to reprint
new labels for there product, it would lead to higher grocery prices.
Guess what? It worked the bill never passed = Control
Oh, and as far as the bee's goes, try asking the farmers in China
about their bee's. I'll tell you, they have ZERO! They pollinate
there crops by hand. NO SHIT! look it up if you don't believe me.
I hope the medical Marijuana community really think hard and long
about the potential of these companies dominating this industry.
We as a community need to stand up and say "Enough" Because
if not we will wish we had in the not to distant future with all botanical
species. Believe me, they are categorizing all of their products through
DNA coding which also = patent right's = CONTROL.
Are we seeing the big picture yet? We've got to spread the word.
When was the last time you purchased strawberries only to be disappointed
and or fooled by the deep red color to later fine out it lacked flavor
and the texture was that of a granny smith apple. Our children
and grandchildren, will never in their life time experience the pleasures
of a truly organic product the way some of us had growing up. SAD
and disgusting. Can you say inferior product? I think yes.
Speaking of apples do you also realize that they can store an apple
up to a year in a controlled warehouse. There is something utterly
disturbing about that don't you all think?
Being in the food industry for over thirty years 20 of which
as an Executive Chef, you can say "I'm quite passionate about my
craft and the future of the humane race as a whole"
All of what I've stated can be easily goggled. I'm all for making a buck
but at what cost? That's were greed and commonsense will clash.
Thank you Santa Baby for the post. It's all about getting the word out.
Just my 2. and MHO.
