Confirmed that the Kestrel molds are for real via rolphtonair on IFlub
"I have been in discussion with one of the founders of Motive Industries Inc, the Calgary, Canada company that was working on the hemp composite car.
"The company, Motive, still owns the design of the Kestrel, and the molds were sold to Hemp Technologies but the molds in his words are pretty useless without the tooling behind them which Motive still has. Composite Innovations Centre of Manitoba is still a player in this field. He finds it doubtful the CIC sold the rights to the composite used but could not say for sure, and the wording on FB seems to indicate they share the rights.
Has the deal with Hemp Technologies been ratified? I thought it was being renogotiated so using the term "our car" might be a bit of pre-mature expectations. The car never made it to production. Once I find more out I will post it."
