BlackArrow Releases Data Management Platform for the Pay-TV Industry

BlackArrow announced the availability of BlackArrow Audience 2.0, a comprehensive audience and data management platform for the television industry. BlackArrow Audience 2.0 introduces Profile Manager, a tool for centralizing and managing audience data from multiple sources which enables pay-TV providers to drive effective advertising for marketers. BlackArrow Audience 2.0 enables pay-TV providers to leverage their subscriber data to take advantage of this opportunity so they can deliver the right marketing to the right audiences. BlackArrow Audience 2.0, a privacy compliant solution, allows pay-TV providers to aggregate and manage first party and third party subscriber data in a single location. The Profile Manager, a web-based interface, lets users define audiences across all TV platforms, build custom audience segments, combine and recombine segments from across disparate data sources and view the number of devices and households in audience groups. Audience segments created with BlackArrow Audience 2.0 are available immediately for addressable on-demand, linear and interactive TV advertising. In addition, BlackArrow Audience 2.0 is designed as a cloud-based platform, but has the flexibility to be deployed in several ways, including an on-premise enterprise deployment.

BlackArrow and Ericsson are partnering to bring advanced advertising capabilities to Ericsson's solutions for TV Anywhere on a global basis. Working together, BlackArrow and Ericsson are enabling operators to benefit from an evolved end to end multi-screen advertising capability- developed to deliver linear, on-demand, interactive and second-screen advertising, in a targeted and personalized manner, across all connected devices. Ericsson and BlackArrow have already worked together to enable a major Tier 1 Pay TV service provider in North America to deploy dynamic ad insertion capabilities for VOD.


BlackArrow, Inc. Announces Availability of BlackArrow Linear

BlackArrow announced the availability of BlackArrow Linear, a standards-based solution for extending live and linear TV programming to IP devices. The company also announced collaborations with leading vendors to streamline integrations and technology deployments into IP-based TV infrastructures. Ecosystem partners include Elemental, Envivio, RGB Networks and SeaWell Networks. BlackArrow Linear enables pay-TV providers to control insertion of advertising and content into live IP video streams. It combines knowledge of the original linear broadcast schedule and blackout and alternate programming options to control the dynamic insertion of ad and content selections into a live feed at the appropriate time. These unique capabilities enable operators to take advantage of the following business cases: Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) of local or national ads within linear streams; Linear replication of original broadcast ads within linear streams; Alternate content delivery to viewers in certain geographic areas or circumstances; and Linear addressability for targeted ads based on subscriber data. BlackArrow Linear, in conjunction with the other BlackArrow Advanced Advertising System software components and BlackArrow's partner systems, offers pay-TV providers a complete solution for monetizing both live and on-demand viewing across any screen. The BlackArrow solution allows service providers to unify audiences, measurement, and monetization rights and policies for TV delivered over both traditional QAM and new IP platforms. It also provides ad routing and mediation services, enabling sales organizations and affiliate partners to use their existing ad servers for fulfillment of inventory. BlackArrow has partnered with best-of-breed ecosystem vendors to overcome the technical complexities of handling split-second signal messaging and packaging unique ads into live streams. Working together with Elemental Technologies, Envivio, RGB Networks, and SeaWell Networks, BlackArrow has taken the lead in solving interoperability challenges and providing proven solutions for the pay-TV industry.
