WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The government will issue reports on U.S. job growth in February and the January trade deficit at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch forecast the U.S. gained a net 213,000 jobs last month, compared to an initially reported 243,000 in January. The unemployment rate is expected to remain the same at 8.3%. The MarketWatch survey also calls for a 0.2% increase in average hourly wages. The U.S. trade deficit, meanwhile, likely widened a slim 0.4% to $49 billion in January from $48.8 billion in December, according to the MarketWatch survey.
