There are 2 basic types of splits. A reverse which would read like:
1:5 or 1 for 5 and a forward split which would read like:
5:1 or 5 for 1 in the first instance you would end up with one share for every five owned before the split.
in the second instance you would end up with five shares for every one before the split. I hope this helps you
