Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Inc. (HOPS: OTC Pink Current) | Appalachian Mountain Brewery Competes in Brewbound Startup Brewery Challenge

BOONE, N.C., May 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Inc. (OTC:HOPS), is pleased to announce it was one of 10 breweries chosen by Brewbound.com in a unique competition held in Boston to partner with one of the country's largest craft beer companies, Craft Brew Alliance. AMB will present its special release beer, 1 st Revolution, an India Pale Lager, culminating from its alliance with Blood, Sweat, and Gears, an epic 102 mile bike ride in the mountains of Western NC. http://www.bloodsweatandgears.org . Brewbound's expert panel of judges will provide immediate feedback on the company and its business model. Competing for the chance to become Widmer Brothers' "Brother for a Day," the winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Portland, OR to craft a new collaboration beer with Widmer Brothers Brewing. The live broadcast of the competition can be viewed at: http://www.brewbound.com/livestream .

Appalachian Mountain Brewery, through its currently open private placement filed with SEC, received from accredited investors an additional $610,000 in the 1 st quarter of 2014 allowing the company to expand its fermentation capacity by 120 barrels and to prepare for distribution into North Carolina with a new Cask Canning System. AMB's unique wood-fired "Farm To Flame" food services subsidiary is in its final stage for launch and can be viewed online at: "Farm To Flame" .

Appalachian Mountain Brewery has secured its second location in Boone, NC for approximately 4,000 square feet to house its new Hard Mountain Cider subsidiary where demand is rising and industry revenue is reaching $600 million. AMB's Hard Mountain Cider can be viewed at: "Hard Mountain Cider" .

Appalachian Mountain Brewery has conducted a review of its financial statements and met on-site with an SEC qualified audit firm in preparation to file a registration statement with SEC. Appalachian Mountain Brewery taking the regulatory steps necessary to become a fully-reporting publicly traded company is a natural step to gain credibility and access to larger funding for growth as well as speed up the process to be quoted on a senior stock exchange.

"Very exciting times are ahead for our business," states Sean Spiegelman, CEO Appalachian Mountain Brewery.
