Copenhagen, 2014-05-28 17:04 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, GN Store Nord has appointed Anders Hedegaard as CEO of GN ReSound and member of GN Store Nord's executive management team, effective as of August 1, 2014. Anders Hedegaard replaces Lars Viksmoen, who has decided to step down from his position as CEO of GN ReSound to change his work life balance.
Lars Viksmoen has been a tremendous asset to GN by securing a very successful turnaround of GN ReSound and positioning the company for growth. To ensure a smooth transition, Lars will continue full-time in GN until the end of 2014 working with Anders. Additionally, Lars will continue to contribute to the development of GN through various projects including work with the GN Store Nord strategy committee.

Anders Hedegaard comes from a position as CEO of Bavarian Nordic A/S, a biotechnology company listed on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen with significant US presence. Anders has a broad based managerial experience and has been overall responsible in driving significant revenue growth and improved productivity in global companies. He has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries from senior management positions in ALK-Abelló A/S, FOSS A/S and Novo Nordisk A/S. Anders has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
