everyone has been discussing the need for an additional permit, assuming it is coming from the Panamanian government. But we have to remember, the other major group Holland is dealing with is the Kuna people. Perhaps they are in a proving stage.vicuna have told them that they can harvest logs in a limited fashion until they can prove that they can work in harmony with the Kuna. Prove to us that you are honorable people. prove to us that you respect our land and our ways. prove to us that your work will not disturb our local fishing or the local wildlife.I do not know what religion they are, but trust that you will not anger our gods by destroying the lake that we hold sacred. and these are people who do not hold time tables. They will know when they know.
if this is the case, Holland may actually benefit from the previous work of EcoCoast Timber. they would have had to undergo the same process. And since they were the first, it would have taken much longer. Now the Kuna with know what to look for. So this permit may come at any time, once Holland has proven that they can work in harmony with them.
