I concur with your statement. The deplorable aspect of big pharma
offering incentive for Doctors to sway Patient's away from
life saving treatment and instead, pumping them full of prescription drugs
to broaden their pocket books. Absolutely is despicable!
All the while receiving a big, hefty bonus check at the end of the month.
Capitalism at it's finest. Right? The sickening aspect of this is... the
politicians, lobbyist, doctors and special interest all know and do
nothing to stop it. In the doctors defense, they have to sometimes
follow their companies protocol or they'll have to seek employment
else ware as seen on a documentary I viewed a while back when a Doctor left her high paying job to move to Oregon to work with a group of doctors
who felt the same way. The patient's paid with what ever they could and they were fine with that. So as you can see... it helps to involve everyone
in getting the word out.
We as a civilized nation need to rise up and say "NO More".
Prescription drugs kill more people every day than all narcotics, alcohol,
and tobacco combine. (Allegedly) Big Pharama is the new pusher on
the block and have rained in a new era of legalized, drug cartel like
mentality. How can we change this? what can we do?
Well... it starts with dialog and action. Getting the information out
and informing as many people as we can reach, the same way cannabis
is doing. The more people know and are informed,
the more they'll get behind it (does Charlotte's Web ring a bell?)
It sickens' me, every time I turn on the tube, there's some big pharma add
pushing their poison and pretty much telling you the side effects and
at times even include death. That's pretty dam bold in my book.
(Oh, take our drugs and by the way you might DIE!) It's pretty much in our FACE!
We as a society needs to change this. They're making billions why
the rest of us can't even get the care we need.
When you go to other countries they actually want you to get better
not hooked on their drugs. Ours have us hook, line and sinker.
That's the very reason although it can be unsafe at times people
journey across boarders to obtain the life saving medicine
they so desperately need.
There is something terribly wrong here. Sorry for ranting my prescription
pills are kicking in. Lol.
I'm happy to hear your Hubby is doing fine.
Enjoy your sunday My Lady,
Jax
