I agree. I don't think it's intentional with shareholders--I think time starts passing and people get used to it. Unfortunately it's like the frog in the water where the temperature gets raised so slowly that the frog boils before realizing it.
I try to encourage people to draw a line in the sand, even if that time line is extended out to what seems like a ludicrously long time. I convinced one poster from 2011 who thought the processors would be running within months to draw the line out thirteen months from that time. At the time thirteen months out seemed ridiculously long to him so he agreed. At the end of that time he simply reset his timeline...and today those processors still haven't roared to life.
