Ross’ Gold Outlines Business Model as It Enters Medical Marijuana Industry in Canada
Toronto, ON – Date Here – Green and Hill Industries (OTC GHIL) dba Ross’ Gold (the “Company”) has signed an agreement to distribute medical marijuana through a joint-venture partnership (the “JV”) with a private company based in Toronto who will be buying directly from government approved growers under the new model. The JV currently has an application with Health Canada to become an approved licensed producer/distributor and is building a distribution center in Ontario, complete with a vault and all of the security as required by regulations.
Through the partner JV, Ross’ Gold has signed contracts and Letters of intent with growers that have applications proceeding with Health Canada for licensed producer status. These ‘partner growers’ are will be growing strains of medical marijuana which are being branded Ross’ Platinum, Ross’ Gold, Ross’ Silver and Ross’ Bronze based on the levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, a psychoactive constituent of cannabis) and cannabidiol (CBD, another constituent believed to be more medical and less psychoactive).
Due to the sensitivity of the applications with Health Canada and the competitiveness of the industry, the company will not be releasing any names of our partner growers nor the partner JV until they receive their licenses from Health Canada.
Partner growers will be tasked to grow the strains that we have chosen from their existing inventories, and the Ross’ Gold mandate is to create demand through branding in conjunction with our JV partnership. For growers without seeds/clones, the JV supplies proprietary clones from a contracted nursery. The growers take the clones at 8 weeks and grow them through harvest at about 16 weeks where the JV purchases the ‘finished’ product.
For partner growers with seeds/clones/plants now, the JV purchases the finished product directly.
In conjunction, we have contracted with botanists who are developing strains called Ross’ Gold Sour White Widow and Ross’ Gold BC God Bud.
As Ross’ Gold is not a licensed producer, it is able to market itself and its brand through mainstream media and advertising channels providing it does not directly advertise medical marijuana. All licensed producers under Health Canada regulations may be listed on the official Health Canada website, and are extremely limited to doing any promotion or advertising as per section 2 of the Narcotic Control Regulations in Canada, Section 70 whereby “No person shall publish or cause to be published or furnish any advertisement to the general public respecting a narcotic”. “Advertisement” means any representation by any means whatever for the purpose of promoting directly or indirectly the sale or disposal of a narcotic.”
Ross’ Gold has developed its proprietary branding and will be executing a marketing plan, thereby becoming a medical marijuana ‘brand’ without directly advertising a narcotic. Already, the term Ross’ Gold has been used in the media to denote a brand of medical marijuana as well as marijuana in general.
