Honestly I know the basics of most procedures but I couldn't do them myself if that makes sense. I just need to know what they are doing in order to supply them with all the equipment they would need. Also there is not enough info for me to know what the next step is. The BOP's don't neccesarily mean there is pressure because that is a requirement for safety. The two cavities that they have are pipe and blind. The pipe is closed around the pipe and the blind is closed when there is nothing inside of the bop to just seal off the well. Mostly when they are done for the day. BOP's are also built with something called a blind/shear. What this would do is close with or without pipe in it. If there is pipe it will cut the pipe and close off the well. Emergency situations they have to do that. The fact that they don't have a Blind/Shear tells me that the well is easy to work with. The big thing with horizontal drilling is that when the pipe is going, think of it like an L. Straight down and then horizontal like the name indicates. It can be hard because gravity makes the pipe want to lay down on the bottom of the well causing them to need more horsepower to turn the pipe. They would then pump some type of air down the pipe to make it sit up and only touch the end of the L rather than the whole bottom of the L.
Upon completion of the well they will then do a nitrogen job. That will pump nitrogen down hole to get the well flowing again. After that they will test the well. Then they will send results to TRRC and get the allowance moved up and then rock n roll. Time line varies as you have all learned this year. It could be 1 week or it could be 1 month.
