I'll tell you friend, for the life of me I can't figure out why this isn't immediately obvious to everyone. Of course it would make more sense all around for a company to send their waste plastic to JBI. No company would want to worry about buying truckloads of HTF, hiring and training shifts if chemical engineers, chemical operators, and material handlers, and all the rest of it. That would be the value added by JBI, if JBI could do it. If a company doesn't mind losing money to appear green, they can pay a fee to JBI to take their plastic and still lose that money and still appear green, and for a fraction of the cost and hassle.
Perhaps a theory is that there are companies out there who are willing to lose more money doing it themselves than what JBI is willing to lose. It makes for a rather ridiculous business plan, and would force everyone to admit that the best JBI could come up with for all that time and money is a highly unprofitable process, aimed at customers who are willing to lose boatloads of money.
