I had facebook blocked at the office so people can't look at it all day while I spend my entire day on Hangout. Irony. Anyway I haven't seen the video but they would definitely need to clean out the kill mud but only if they want the well to start producing again. For those of you that aren't aware of Kill Mud it is a weighted mud designed to keep pressure down. The BP blow out could have been avoided if they were able to kill the well. There are other reasons but that was a big one. Every well has gas pockets that shot up the well. The BOP's are designed to hold the pressure that comes up between the casing and the workstring, and the lower kelly/TIW is designed to keep the pressure coming up through the workstring.
They could be cleaning everything out and are saving the mudd to circulate while drilling. This is done for two reasons, 1) to bring everything they drill up to the top of the hole and it runs through a screen and catches rocks and debri, any liquids run back into the hole.2) The liquids are run to cool the bit off while drilling. It gets extremely hot with all the friction in the hole.
Very exciting news. This well was producing before we shut it down so we know for sure we will get somewhere around 150 bopd and thats worst case scenario. Revenue Revenue Revenue. This well alone will fund other projects and possibly stop the payment with shares. Lets pay some bills and buy back shares and hold on for the ride.
