I'm with you here. All of my long term money makers have averaged about five years before they paid off. For me it was FNMA, F, and SIRI all purchased between 2008 and 2009. Those were pretty dark times and the "expert" opinions were pretty low of those tickers. Even I was scared of AA in the pennies - good on you for buying it! Full disclosure: I've bought some duds, too!
While I'm not quite at five years yet for Baltia, I have never been more optimistic about their chances. There have been times that I thought of exiting (specifically the move to the East Michigan FSDO) but I'm glad I'm still hanging in as I believe the latter half of this year will be very exciting, even with HQ's apparent lack of concern for us shareholders.
