Infrared and Thermal Imaging Systems Market to Post 9.27% CAGR Through 2018, Says MarketsandMarkets in Its Report Available at MarketPublishers.com
PRWeb - Wed May 07, 1:13PM CDT
As of 2014, the worldwide market for infrared and thermal imaging systems stands at around USD 3.35 billion. By the year of 2019, the market's value is poised to surpass the USD 5.21 billion mark, posting robust growth at a 9.27% CAGR from 2014 to 2018. The overall infrared and thermal imaging systems market is highly dependent on the military sector. However, the military budget cuts in the USA and some European countries along with issues regarding procurement timings in a range of defense programs have provoked a shift of the market towards the commercial sector. Ongoing technological developments, increased outsourcing of work and also rising global demand have recently enabled manufacturers to lower their prices for infrared and thermal imaging systems, thus, making them more economical and, at the same time, opening doors for novel applications. There are promising market trends for multiple megapixel detectors and systems.
