HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 29, 2014) - One World Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: OWOO) ("One World" announced that its subsidiary, The One World Doll Project ("OWDP" , received a glowing congratulations letter from H-E-B's (HEB Grocery Company, LP) Regional Vice President of HEB - Houston Urban East, Mr. Terry Williams, citing, "...I knew that these dolls were going to be a success and I wanted the HEB family of stores to be one of the first ones to carry the line on our shelves."
While it is customary for a new vendor to receive a welcome letter from the buying department of a store chain, it is unusual to receive such a letter from a regional executive -- particularly where such emphasis is placed on increasing consumer demand for a particular product. Reflecting on the letter's words of encouragement, One World executives say they are elated to know that Mr. Williams' sentiments were not in vain. Inventory for The Prettie Girls!™ multi-cultural doll line, sold out in multiple H-E-B stores over the Easter weekend, where OWDP successfully launched its retail distribution initiative. H-E-B stores have already placed re-orders for The Prettie Girls! nearly double the size of the original purchase
James Harris, H-E-B's Director of Supplier Diversity, commented on the success of The Prettie Girls! rollout, stating, "H-E-B was proud to be selected as the first retailer to offer The Prettie Girls dolls in select Houston area stores. We were especially pleased at the sales, as two of the stores sold through on inventories. I applaud the efforts of The One World Doll Project in meeting the needs of our customers."
Ms. Joanne Melton, CEO of One World Holdings said, "For the past three years, we have focused on introducing a quality product to the market that reflects a positive image for young girls. We are pleased to align ourselves with H-E-B as our first major big-box retailer, who has a proven track record for community education and diversity initiatives."
"It's at these moments where shareholder confidence should continue to be fortified. We anticipate securing additional big-box stores in the near-term and expanding into national superstores by year-end, to participate in the 2014 Holiday season."
While currently available in select H-E-B locations, the Company confirmed The Prettie Girls! Dolls will further expand its retail store distribution this year. One World is currently in negotiations with additional regional and national "brick and mortar" retailers, to bring the dolls to more consumers nationwide. The Prettie Girls! are also distributed internationally through prestigious online retailers, including, Wayfair.com, DollGenie.com, and PattyCakeDoll.com.
Ms. Melton concluded, "The success of this launch, along with the accolades provided by H-E-B executives, validates the message and goals of The One World Doll Project, as well as our founder, Trent T. Daniel. We have come a long way and are excited that the retail establishment appears to be taking notice of The Prettie Girls! Dolls as a real solution to a lingering problem with cultural diversity on the shelves of major retailers across the nation.
"One World and The One World Doll Project, will remain diligent and intently focused on this vision, and the business of making and selling multicultural dolls. I am confident this will become self-evident, and soon come to be reflected by shareholder confidence, as our intentions are quickly aligning with actual results. The praises and opportunities we continue to receive from our retail distributors are concrete proof that we deliver results and we will continue to do so as this Company grows and establishes market share."
