Casa Bonita Denver Obtains Lease Extension

Star Buffet, Inc. (STRZ.PK) was informed yesterday that the JCRS Shopping Center (the center where Casa Bonita-Denver operates) has been sold to BSV Lamont JCRS, LLC. ("BSV Lamont"
. Prior to the sale of the JCRS Shopping Center, Casa Bonita-Denver had been operating on a month-to-month lease. Unfortunately, as of yet, management has not received a lease renewal proposal from BSV Lamont that permits Casa Bonita-Denver to continue to operate profitably. BSV Lamont did agree, however, to provide Casa Bonita-Denver a short-term extension so that lease negotiations can continue. Hopefully, the two parties will be able to reach an accord that will allow Casa Bonita-Denver, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, to operate in Lakewood, Colorado for many years to come.

Star Buffet, Inc. (STRZ.PK) today announced that the company has sold its former JJ North's Country Buffet in Yuma, Arizona. Proceeds from the real estate sale were used to repay Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. in accordance with the company's Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization which was approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona on December 17, 2012.

Star Buffet, Inc. (STRZ.PK) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Summit Family Restaurants Inc. ("Summit", has closed its three K-BOB'S Steakhouses. In conjunction with the closures, Summit terminated real estate lease agreements on the three restaurants with Tinsley Hospitality Group in exchange for certain personal property and settlement of all Tinsley-related litigation including that brought prior to the Summit bankruptcy. These closures will result in a one-time, non-cash charge of approximately $865,000, but is expected to have no material impact on future operating results.
