Doesn't get any more fun this $GPNE The sheared host rock at Aukam is Proterozoic granite that was hydrothermally altered to kaolinite (Reimer, 1984). The paper speculates on a biogenic origin however it also cites Mueller (1971) opinion that veins from an unspecified location in Namibia sounding like Aukam was an “inorganic derivation of the hydrocarbons”.
