Re: Mrkt-Nu-B #8806
What you probably realize N-B is that your above-average intelligence the sheer power of cognitive discernment that helped get you this far is a problem for you". Yes, a problem". That's because your intelligence interferes with your listening. It is quite a paradox, but it is true. Intelligent people have greater difficulty, not less difficulty, in listening to other people.

Why is that? By definition, intelligent people are quick to absorb and process information. The brighter you are, the more you tend to think analytically and evaluatively. Strictly as a quantitative measure, you can listen intelligently at the rate of 400 to 500 words per minute, perhaps even more, all while analyzing the message you are hearing and evaluating .
Meanwhile, Some folks speaking are in the slow lane. Folks speaking at 125 to 150 words a minute, or 175 to 200 words a minute if they are talking fast. The bottom line N-B. Listeners are always faster than speakers, and smart listeners are especially fast.

That isn't good. It means you are probably missing some or perhaps even much of the robust information, the subtlety, the emotion, and the crosscurrents of what is being said. You're reading the headlines and maybe the first couple of paragraphs, and then you're psychologically turning to the comics page. It's call intellectual patience.
Be slow to understand, Be very, very slow. You will find yourself more reflective, more appreciative, and more nuanced, and therefore wiser than you otherwise would be. Intellectual patience is just a predisposition of cautious, deliberate exploration and discovery. That is how we should listen. Be quiet. Pay rapt attention. Do not preoccupy yourself with judgments about the speaker or poster with your own list of things-to-do. Don't interrupt. Don't think of what you are going to say next. Just listen. Listen patiently. Even if you are busy. Enjoy the balm of silence on your psyche. Reflect before asking a good, thoughtful question, and then let silence work like yeast.
Finally, given a choice between interpreting a message harshly or generously, let yourself be big. Maybe, just maybe, your intelligence will get out of your way, and you will actually hear what the other person is trying to tell you. You may even understand and accept it. are you smarter than the average dormouse.

You find yourself on a wild roller coaster ride with DUTV and you only search for answers to this madness.
Well sir your not alone.
During your quest for answers all while coming up short.....Be assured N-B, your opinions are on point and speak to the matter at hand .

Keep that frustration off your sleeve it is drowning out the common sense and YOUR SKILLFULNESS & well thought out opinions you once shared .......... A new approach that all can participate in.

To my last point Mr. N-B.
..........Sara, you are speaking incongruently here. Either you will stop posting presumptive information that is supposedly given you from your source (None of which has yet come to pass btw) or you will post more information on Harry and the company in 7 days if nothing happens.
This kind of double talk makes you sound most amatuerish IMHO.

In my opinion of course Mr. N-B. You are guilty of a little double talk and possibly a slight incongruentcy yourself.
Some appreciate very much that information saralove shares dead on or not. I include myself here as one who appreciates it much....it's another lead that could fit somewhere. Its something we did not have prior.
Smarts does not always yield the right understanding or give you the right of way among your peers sir.
Some of the smartest folks lose the way on occasion this is only a nudge a small push a pat on the back.

Anytime N-B, my pleasure.

N-B, saraloves 7 day DD that you wait for now may not be posted in the open here.
We would find ourselves fortunate if she did share anything in the open again...........You know everyone gets a little uneasy after words.
Your as smart as the come N-B ............... so dust your self off your coming unglued , reset yourself sir.
Where is the N-B that arrived here that one day so long ago.........Please find that very skillful person and get him here.

A smart fellow told me once N-B . Pull up your nickers now, we are ready to roll.

Can we build that bridge Mr. N-B ?

Most respectfully 2can
