I think you nailed it. Some of the "key" players needed the weekend off and they were afraid of what might happen if no one was able to control the conversation. Perhaps a wedding or funeral of one of the more powerful in the group? I have no doubt it will quickly be reopened as it would not serve their interests for it to be closed down long and they would no doubt hate to see this board and others steal their clients. lol Go JBII!!!
