It's not any of us that want it to go lower, the people that are holding short want it to go as low as possible then they buy back the # of shares they are short and pocket the $ difference, the very best for the shorts is for the company they are shorting is to go out of business then they never have to cover.
The quicker we get back to trading with good news the higher the pps the more the shorts have to give to buy back their shares to cover hence the 24/7 bashing to keep pressure on the longs to sell out
