"BG Medical Technologies Brings High Tech to Medical Marijuana"
Looking forward to hearing more on this!
"BG Medical Technololgies will combine medical marijuana with telehealthcare with its new TeleHealthCare product. The Los Angeles-based company said it is addressing a growing market in natural health care and increasing health care costs, as well as safety concerns with conventional prescription drugs.
Patients will be able to access medical care cheaply and remotely. They will also be able to track how well they’re responding to medical marijuana treatments on a chart. That data will then be made available to doctors who prescribe medical marijuana, as well as naturopathic doctors. The new effort comes as many Americans find themselves unable to afford the escalating price of conventional health treatments and medications. As insurance costs also spike, substantial numbers of Americans are left under-insured or not insured at all and unable to obtain traditional medical services.
With BG Medical Technologies new TeleHealthCare product, patients will also be able to access doctors over the Internet, in addition to office visits. The company aims to help more people catch health problems early, when they’re easier and cheaper to treat.
"We've all had the experience of having our car serviced for a noticeable problem only to learn that once the mechanic examined under the hood, more parts were wearing out that endangered our safety," Angel Stanz, CEO of BG Medical Technologies said in a press release. "We are making this type of preventative maintenance available to everyone. This is expected to save tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses per patient."
The company has also announced a USB device that will plug into a patient’s computer allow doctors to diagnose ailments by detecting what it says are subtle shifts in a patient’s physiology. They will then be able to consult with physicians via teleconferencing and obtain medical marijuana prescriptios discreetly and privately."
