Even though there are many wealthy Armenians. I'm not aware of many publicly owned companies except maybe Hovnanian Enterprises symbol HOV (nyse) I'ts a big deal for them. The area was hit by a pretty big earthquake a few years back. The Genocide is still be denied by the Turks and the US has been pretty split over it...The Armenians lost everything during that time Land,Businesses,Wealth and not mention close 1.5 million lives of Men,Women and Children. It's observed on April 24th every year. It was her chance to share and educate about her culture. I know it was akward during a "Business" event but She's proud of her heritage and at the end of the day she's running the show!
