of he best fruits and veggies come from places in the upper Midwest and east that are frozen tundra's in the winter. The "mild" climate that this part of Canada has is the "GROWING" season. Where I grew up in Ohio we produced some of the best corn, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, soy beans, etc you have EVER tasted. Stand in those fields in January and you would not be talking about the mild climate either. Canada, near Niagara is quickly becoming known for their wines. Yet Niagara Falls FREEZES over every winter. Hardly mild....would ya say? So please stop mincing words (and time frames).
