It wouldn't go from .05 --> .50 in a blink of an eye. It would "run up" to .50 meaning everyone would have time to buy in during the run. Why try to front run and risk it rather than waiting for the volume and breaking resistance level and then buy in? Sure you'd miss some profits, although it's A LOT safer and the only way to be a consistently profitable trader, rather than a stock gambler.
