It depends on "risk tolerance" as someone here aptly stated. 'Invest only what you can afford to lose' is not bad advice. To a much smaller holding which I purchased on re-entering, I'll add more SKTO in increments, but only as risk perceptibly lessens. I'm listening to the market which is telegraphing a risk well outside a certain comfort zone. I'd rather pay more for less risk.
In three major speeches since she was sworn in as SEC Chair (April 2013), Mary Jo White, an 'activist' chair in contrast to others before her, referred to a recent initiative, a pro-active MicroCap Task Force taking pre-emptive steps to protect the investing public. Required reading in my view, as it's crucial to learn the currrent mindset of regulators as a factor in gauging risk. She mentioned focus upon, among other entities, private equity firms that engage in misconduct in the microcap universe.
