"So we're back to that $XXX per ton BS argument ye

Yes, a few years ago the price was only $650/ton for scrap HDPE, LDPE and PP plastic. Plastic is made from oil and by far the largest component of plastic's price is the price of oil. The price of oil is higher now...so the price of virgin plastic, and therefore scrap plastic is also higher. The market for scrap is fragmented so a person has to look at what people are bidding and asking for scrap plastic on various sites devoted to scrap plastic buying and selling, but a person can get a good idea of the going rate.
I'll remind everyone that when I was saying JBI would have to pay $650/ton for the plastic they need...was the same time when Mr. Bordynuik was telling investors that he would get paid to take the scrap plastic he needed because companies would save on landfill fees, or that JBI would at least get it for free. Over the years Mr. Bordynuik admitted that the company would have to pay for plastic but now the mystery is how much does that plastic cost. I already know what JBI would be required to pay but investors are kept in the dark.
