BORAME (Somalilandsun) – Intense surveys on Energy deposits in various regions of Somaliland have been instigated through a ministry of Energy and Dongson Energy company of China

This was informed by the Director General in the ministry Saeed Ahmed Jibril during a press briefing in Borame where he is leading a joint Ministry and Dongson survey mission in Awdal and Selel regions in the west of the country.

The DG who informed that the joint Somaliland Chines company partnership has dispatched three teams for the survey purpose urged residents of Sahil and Sanaag regions where actives are underway to provide them with all necessary support.

Guangzhou Dongson Energy Group Co Ltd entered into a partnership with the ministry of energy after the Government of Somaliland ratified an agreement with mining company from China after the minister of mineral resources Hon. Hussein Abdi Duale appended his signature to the contractual undertakings okaying the Chinese mining company of to extract coal from the country on the 21st February 2014.
