Baltias B747 Aircraft Passes Major Maintenance Requirements with Flying Colors
Baltia Airlines (OTCQB: BLTA), the only company undergoing Part 121 Air Carrier Certification, recently passed a major hurdle of the maintenance procedure consisting of a C, also known as heavy check. The N706BL was taken apart for inspection for a multitude of possible defects, the most important of which is undoubtedly any signs of rust and other forms of corrosion that may need to be repaired. The crew and inspectors working at the hangar in Oscoda, Michigan, took apart the N706BL and found what Baltia must be proud to say is a corrosion-free, incredibly well-conditioned aircraft. The plane passed all of its maintenance checks with flying colors. It is awaiting re-assembly while the pilots complete simulator training to wrap-up Phase II and move onto Phase III.
In addition, the planes pylons, which hold the energy-efficient engines that Baltia has leased, were found to be 100% defect-free. This should be a very significant and important event for both the company and its investors, as there was much debate over the planes health. Baltia managed to save a cost estimated to be over $1 million by moving up this maintenance check by approximately seven days in the schedule of events. The next step for the company is to finish the simulator training, followed by Phase III and certification.
