"Message Board Slandering and Dealing With It Swiftly (An Huge Problem in Today's Society). I want to make something clear to everyone who is currently on this message board. There is a major problem that has emerged in recent years and a crime, in which people believe they can hide behind aliases and make outrageous false and malicious claims against an individual with no repercussions. Recently on this board the alias "dblankfein" has committed this crime and he will be sued by our law firm Nixon Peabody LLP, a global 100 law firm.
Most Executives are told not to or never to respond to slander on the message boards, however I have learned that if such slander goes unanswered . . . the result is that normal readers tend to believe what they read. Obviously in "dblankfein's" case, he appears to be mentally unstable and even crazed, but that doesn't mean that his lies and vicious written attacks should go unanswered.
The personal attacks are clearly motivated by something other than factual basis. I have always operated with the utmost integrity and I deeply care about every shareholder that I have ever directly or indirectly represented.
The accusations made by "dblankfein" are beyond comprehension, and he should really state his identity and his sources of information, rather than hiding behind an alias and making these outrageously false comments. It's unfair for an executive to be targeted by someone who's sole purpose is to try to cause harm without any regard to facts or the truth.
1) Accusing me of not graduating from Cornell University (let's see dblankfein's evidence, because I have a diploma). 2) accusing me of operating through offshore accounts (let's see the evidence, because I don't have an offshore account nor have I ever). 3) Accusing me of raping investors (let's see his facts, because that comment is absolutely false and I believe scores of investors would wholeheartedly disagree). 4) Accusing me of misrepresenting my Curriculum Vitae (let's see dblankfein's evidence and specific references). Thank You, Seth M. Shaw"
I personally find that a very eloquent statement. Let's see what the upcoming lawsuit produces. In the case of the many attacks on yourself, there is the special component that you have been disempowered from any kind of direct reply. There is a right to indignation and to self-defense that is one of the most sacred.
