Somalia Oil & Gas Summit gathered over 100 delegates who heard from H.E. Abdirizak Omar Mohamed, Minister of National Resources, H.E. Mohamoud Suleiman, Minister of Finance & National Planning and Dr Abdullahi Haider, Petroleum & Minerals Senior Adviser, Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Federal Government of Somalia revealed that they are planning to begin work before the end of the year, to resolve issues with Puntland, Somaliland and ensure that exploration efforts are not hampered.

The majors currently under Force â?? majeure were also invited to return to Somalia and carry on with their exploration activities. Dr Haider went into key details about Somaliaâ??s regulatory framework and set some deadlines for creating the necessary Regulatory Authority. CWC Group would like to thank Somaliaâ??s Federal Government for their support and tremendous effort to build a successful first year event.

Somalia Oil & Gas Summit returns to London on 9 June 2014 and will once again be the pivotal meeting place for leading Somali decision makers to engage with international, regional and local investors.
