It was a 60 ft. arm, and they were saying the same numbers (100) back then. Seems I remember talk of getting 40-50 with one operator doing it. Not sure if they could do two shifts and get closer, or if that 40-50 was a long day already.
That's from an old guy with an old memory, but I'm pretty comfortable that's what we were being told.
They said 100/day years ago, and are sticking with it.....But I think they only achieved about 1/2 or a little less than that. Interesting thing, though, after trials they did lease 3 tugs, so they must have thought that 60 would keep them busy or why lease that many? If they couldn't, they would have waited till the 120 was working I would think.
