Mr. Rashid completed a degree in Electrical Engineering from Napier College in Edinburgh, Scotland and joined his family in Canada. In 1976 he founded and still runs Rodeo Express Delivery courier service in Calgary. In 1988 he helped set up Shamrock Resources, a TSX junior oil and gas company. And later was instrumental in financing Petrocal Energy, Tartan Energy and more recently Silk Road Energy on whose board and audit committee he serves. Mr. Rashid founded Kilimanjaro Capital for the express purpose of investing in Africa while making a positive impact on the lives of its people. He draws his inspirations from his long-time support for the Aga Khan Foundation and World Vision.
