Stock moves down a few ticks on heavy volume.
Reason :
Longs = Someone wanted out, shorts taking it down for lunch money.
Shorts = Massive continuous dilution direct from the company (hiring a personal MM to dump shares).
Stock sky rockets and then dumps all the way back down (pump and dump).
Reason :
Longs = Crony market participant (probably some ad promo corp) manipulating and pumping up the volume and price and then dumping phony IOU shares (electronic markers) into the market causing massive FTDs, all the while the company has no idea what has happened to the stock.
Shorts = Scam company pump and dump by management, insiders dumping newly issued free trading shares on retail traders while crony company execs sell unregistered certs with no legend into the open market in order to get out before the scam is shut down by the SEC and the Feds.
We all know the script by now. Anytime any of the MMs seem to have a large share position sitting on the Ask, it cannot possibly just be the MMs borrowing a ton of shares from margin accounts to short them and dump on the puny bids coming in to game retail, right? It must necessarily be dilution straight from the company execs? Their tired old script does not fly anymore with seasoned traders and investors. The jig is up. They might as well get on the winning side of this whole thing while they have the chance.
