In the financial year 2013 sales revenue totalled EUR 91.4 million compared with EUR 94.3 million in the previous year. With this development the company exceeded the forecast corridor of EUR 80 to 90 million published by the Management Board. The 3 percent decline in consolidated turnover compared with the previous year is essentially due to the planned decrease in the low-margin »Wholesale Solutions« sector. Gross profit increased relative to the comparable period of the previous year by 7 %, from EUR 25.1 million to EUR 26.9 million. Compared with the previous year the gross profit margin increased from 27 % to 29 %. In addition to continuous improvement of the gross profits in Business Solutions since 2011, ecotel was again able to report growth in revenue from this sector for the first time since 2007. With the B2B revenue of EUR 42.2 million earned in 2013 and a B2B gross margin of more than 50 % ecotel has laid the foundation for achieving its middle term goals for 2015. EBITDA totalling EUR 6.7 million remained nearly unchanged compared with last year at the upper end of the forecast corridor of EUR 6 to 7 million. EBIT totalled EUR 3.3 million for the reporting period. Consolidated profit improved from EUR 1.4 million (2012 adjusted) to EUR 1.5 million. Earnings per share increased 11 % from EUR 0.38 (2012 adjusted) to EUR 0.42. The equity ratio remained unchanged at 45 %. For 2014 the Management Board expects consolidated revenue of EUR 85 to 95 million, and EBITDA of EUR 6.5 to 7.5 million. Profitability will increase due to the continued increased in B2B revenue, for which Management has forecast growth of EUR 43 to 44 million. In addition, the Management Board continues to pursue the goal of increasing revenue to EUR 100 million and EBITDA to EUR 10 million by 2015. This assumes, however, that an unanticipated six-month delay of a line migration planned for 2014 can be compensated by 2015. In view of this development the realignment of the Business Solutions segment will occupy a key role. In addition to secure networking of corporate locations, especially the new Cloud products as well as the Voice products on the basis of the company's planned NGN (Next Generation Network) platform will be at the focus of future developments.
