Good Morning Wifey and Paul,
Wifey, you've got a very sharp daughter that she at least keeps an open mind to both sides of the argument. After watching the liberal machine come out immediately after the debate, stating that obama won the debate, I just shake my head and wonder who is either that stupid to believe the obvious failure of teleprompter man or who holds that much hatred against someone who is simply offering an alternative to the social dependency of millions. High Five to your daughter for at least using her intelligence to sift thru the information from both sides.
I remember quite a few details from my high school days of Am Hist and Civics and Business classes Fortunately, I had a number of conservative teachers, (a rarity in most schools today) who actually projected and predicted the current state of affairs. That was during the mid 60s. One actually still stands out in my mind. He taught us to understand human nature especially as it pertains to becoming lazy. He often compared it to the signs in our State Parks where we still see the various signs explaining 'Do Not Feed the Animals as They Will Become Dependent Upon Humans'. That is so true with what we look at a far too large number of our population.
That teacher taught us to think independently and to consider the applications of a massive government subsistence program. Keep in mind, this was the beginning of Pres Johnson's welfare programs. Imagine, he taught, of the inadvertent 'evils' (teacher's term) of creating a welfare state and the eventual reliance of the population upon government. I have followed the trillions of dollars pumped into our American inner cities and rural area from the sixties to date. All it's created is tens of millions of absolutely dependent individuals who really have very little chance of over escaping the prison of government dependency that the social machine has built over the last 50 years. One could say, in hindsight, this project was built by design for a very large voting block. I'll never forget what that teacher projected to us long before it became so obvious to anyone who truly decides to get away from the rah, rah, rah bullshit from either side. But it does take an honest individual and independent thoughts.
Hopefully our youth of today does and will begin to understand the very destructive nature of socialism when it's applied to the masses. I'm not speaking of those truly in need, but rather the second, third and fourth generations almost 100% dependent upon their next meal due to the evil bastards on both sides of the isle who have engineered this self worthlessness of the cradle to grave mentality all in the name of money and power.
