Lime and Amino announce Caribbean TV upgrade

LIME has signed a contract with Amino (AIM: AMO), leaders in IPTV, for them to supply enhanced set-top boxes to support the rollout of pay TV services.
LIME TV delivers over 100 channels of pay TV entertainment – plus video-on-demand – to customers in the Cayman Islands and Barbados. The TV line-up includes a wide range of entertainment – including local and international news, premium content channels, lifestyle and sports.
The service will introduce Amino’s A140 and A540 set-top boxes which will provide a better ’carrier class’ Wi-Fi signal to deliver entertainment around the home and enable customers to set up pay TV for themselves reducing the need for service engineers.
Amino CEO Donald McGarva commented: “This is an exciting and innovative deployment which demands devices that are ultra-reliable, future proof and capable of easy home installation. Combining our field-proven STBs with carrier class Wi-Fi will help LIME rollout services quickly and cost-effectively whilst at the same time supporting an exciting range of entertainment services.”
